The feature aspect of this office space is its vaulted ceiling which gives the impression of space within quite a long and narrow footprint. Our brief was to allow as much light as possible whilst creating a contemporary workspace with flexibility and function. Our response was centered on opening up the existing space, inviting sunlight to cascade through both the street frontage windows and lofty dorma windows. A key focus was placed on showing the vaulted ceiling, allowing the existing timber trusses to stand as architectural highlight.
Floor to ceiling steel glazed partitions maximise natural light, and have been to section off a spacious and stylish director’s office overlooking Malop street towards the bay, and to create a hip, modern boardroom with all the right feel for the on-the-pulse digital marketing agency. The main work area is complemented by a communal kitchen space at the rear – once again created with timeless simplicity and brand values in mind, and a handy little one-person quiet room custom built for sensitive conversations amid the very open plan layout.
